YMER&MALTA

Founded over three years ago by Valérie Maltaverne and Remy Le Fur, both of whom are passionate about and experts in contemporary art, YMER&MALTA was planned from the outset as more than a simple contemporary design gallery. Instead, its aim is to be a research laboratory resolutely committed to the edition and promotion of a new form of avant-garde luxury.

In fact, as a place of excellence and simmering creativity if ever there was one, YMER&MALTA has today become an authority in the design world, having brought to the table a new form of contemporary design season after season, the originality of which is to be found in the collaboration between new creative talent and established art craftsmen.

YMER&MALTA invites designers to imagine new lines and functions that are then brought into being by the expert hands of craftsmen. There are no limits, all materials (marble, leather, wood, fiber) are meticulously worked, sculpted, and assembled; the only imperatives are beauty, innovation and excellent quality. Through this work philosophy, Valérie Maltaverne aims to give exceptional design its due. Each work is composed like a piece of music, collaboratively created to reveal the soul that only unique works of art can claim.

By getting back to the tradition of excellence defended by the ‘artist artisans’ of the end of the nineteenth century, YMER&MALTA; combines creative innovation and artisanal skill in a contemporary mode. Its original and demanding approach gives rise to rare and unique pieces of furniture and design objects that are produced in limited editions and exclusively aimed at a public of aesthetes and connoisseurs.
